Your
Short Term Rental Permit Application Packet will include:

6. Affidavit of Notification – Homeowner must
notify neighbors within 250 feet of rental property lines. You may do this by signage posted in the rental window or by written
letter. Submit a copy of the letter along with the names and addresses of those notified (if choosing to notify in writing)
OR submit a photograph showing the sign posted in the rental.
Application Process:
1. Get Permit
Application:
a. Visit www.co.tillamook.or.us/gov/comdev/ and
download application.
b. Visit
the Tillamook County Department of Community Development office at 201 Laurel Ave., Tillamook, Oregon. Office hours are 8am
to 4pm, Monday – Friday.
2.
Complete
Application, Site Plan Drawing, and Affidavit of Notification. Return completed materials along with fees (listed below) and
proof of Liability Insurance to Tillamook County Department of Community Development during regular business hours.
3. Submit Fees: a. Yearly application fee: $150.00 b. Inspection fee: $75.00 (includes
first inspection and one follow-up inspection, if required). If additional inspections are required, Applicant will purchase
for $65.00 each.
4. Request inspection: Call 842-3408 to request transfer
to inspection line, which is extension 3123. Call for an inspection 24 prior to the day you wish to have your home inspected.
Someone, over 18 years of age, must be present at the time of inspection.
5. After the inspection, a
copy of the Inspection Checklist and results will be mailed or emailed to the homeowner. Corrections needing to be made will
be noted on checklist.
6. Certificate of Inspection will be issued pending
approval of Permit Application. Certificate must be posted in the rental and will include the following information:
a. Name and Phone number of Local Contact Person
b. Telephone Numbers of local Fire District and
Tillamook County Sheriff.
c. Maximum number of occupants
permitted to stay in the dwelling.
d. Maximum
number of vehicles allowed to legally park while renting the dwelling.
e. Location of garbage container
